Vince and I have been exploring mountain trails in the Washington area recently. We took a 12 mile round trip two weekends ago on the Cabin John Trail--starting near the ice skating rink in Cabin John Park and traveling along Cabin John Creek to River Road and back.
It took us nearly 3 hours because it was pretty messy from the recent flooding in the area so we had to stop often to lift our bikes over fallen trees. There was also some serious construction activity repairing a blown sewer system near the creek. Our bikes were covered with MUD at the end but we had a great time! Vince seems to really enjoy off-road stuff and loves his mountain bike. I do have front suspension on my bike but with 35cc tires, I stick in the mud and sand more than him. I guess I'll have to invest in another bike that is better suited for this kind of fun. Merton
